Softball Recap: Lake Oconee Academy Falls Short of Wheeler County in the Playoffs

Lake Oconee Academy and Wheeler County squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Lake Oconee Academy had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-1.

Lake Oconee Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Beth Harris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Harris has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Lake Oconee Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Wheeler County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Lake Oconee Academy by a score of 9-1 later that day.
