Baseball Recap: Everett Takes a Loss

Everett managed to slip by Eastern the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vikings lost 18-7 to the Quakers on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Vikings have suffered against the Quakers since April 22, 2017.

Everett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emmett Leidi, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Leidi has become a key player for the Vikings: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-10-1 otherwise. Lupe Nelson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Everett is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11-1. As for Eastern, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-29.

As of now, neither Everett nor the Quakers have any future games scheduled.
