Softball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy managed to slip by Williamsburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars lost 8-1 to the Raiders on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Cougars have suffered since July 8, 2024.

Kennedy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Williamsburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-3.

Kennedy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Fort Dodge on the 21st. As for Williamsburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-3 defeat against Ames on the 21st.
