Softball Preview: Marion County Eagles vs. Taylor County Vikings

The Marion County Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Taylor County Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

While Marion County's win against Hawkinsville wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Red Devils 15-14 on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 19, 2022, but that streak is no more.

The team relied heavily on Kinsley Barrow, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with five runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played.
