            The Heritage Hawks will face off against the Sandy Creek Patriots at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Heritage has given up an average of 7.2  runs per game this season, but Thursday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Heritage is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11  runs  two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Loganville Christian Academy  two weeks ago. They came up short against  the Lions, falling  11-1. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
 Heritage saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Izabella Sewell, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  double.
Meanwhile, Sandy Creek had to endure  a  six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by  a  20-5 margin over Jonesboro on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shut out in their previous   matchup.
 Lily Banks was a standout: she got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  five  RBI gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ava Oliver, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  RBI.
 Sandy Creek  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .812. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Sandy Creek's win bumped their record up to 6-19. As for Heritage, they now  have a losing record of 6-7.
