Softball Recap: Lithonia Takes a Loss

Lithonia lost against Arabia Mountain back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Rams, falling 21-7. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nifemi Jayeoba stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Jayeoba is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Kayla Washington, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Lithonia's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Arabia Mountain, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Lithonia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 18-0 defeat against Southwest DeKalb on the 26th. As for Arabia Mountain, they have also already played their next game, a 16-0 loss against Decatur on the 26th.
