Volleyball Recap: Lund's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lund had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Wells Leopards as they made off with a 3-0 victory. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 win the Leopards walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

While Lund won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-23.

KAYLEE GRIFFIN paced Lund's offense, picking up nine kills. GRIFFIN got some help from MADI CARTER and her 16 assists. BAILEY CARTER controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Lund's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Wells, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lund and Wells will both be playing Carlin the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will host the Railroaders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Leopards will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
