Baseball Recap: Shadow Mountain Comes Up Short

Shadow Mountain couldn't beat Greenway on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Matadors fell just short of the Demons by a score of 8-7. The loss continues a trend for the Matadors in their meetings with the Demons: they've now lost six in a row.

Shadow Mountain got a big performance out of Gavin Lieske, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Asher Kendall, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Shadow Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6-1. As for Greenway, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

While Shadow Mountain had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
