Basketball Game Preview: Central Valley Falcons vs. Orland Trojans

The Central Valley Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Orland Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Central Valley has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Orland will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Friday, Central Valley had to suffer through a 68-38 loss at the hands of Lassen.

Meanwhile, Orland sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 44-42 victory over Las Plumas on Friday.

Orland's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.2 points over those games. As for Central Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-21.

Central Valley came up short against Orland in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 50-40. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Orland's Lillianna Rowe, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds.
