Basketball Recap: Parkway Center City Bulldogs vs. Sankofa Freedom Academy Warriors        
        
		
            
 The Parkway Center City Bulldogs's game  last Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. They came out on top against Sankofa Freedom Academy by a score of  52-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Parkway Center City also won the last time the pair played  back in February of 2023.
 Parkway Center City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Seana Barnes, who  scored eight points along with 20  rebounds and two  steals. Barnes has been hot recently, having posted nine or more  rebounds the last four times she's  played.  Marchella Wuisan was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with six  rebounds and two  steals.
 Despite the loss, Sankofa Freedom Academy still got an impressive performance from   Faith Darlington, who  scored 27 points along with eight  steals and seven  rebounds. That was a full 64.3% of Sankofa Freedom Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Diamond Whitaker, who  scored nine points along with five  rebounds.
 Parkway Center City's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Sankofa Freedom Academy,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-9-1.
 Parkway Center City is on the road again  on Thursday and plays the Eagles at 3:00  p.m.  on February 1st. George Washington is coming into the  match on a three-game losing streak. Sankofa Freedom Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
