It was a good run, but Sandia unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the La Cueva Bears by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against La Cueva this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in September.

Ethan Tewa and Micah Corona scored both of Sandia's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Sandia's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-2. As for La Cueva, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sandia is set to square off against their familiar foe Capital at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, La Cueva will take on rival Eldorado at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
