Soccer Game Preview: San Lorenzo Valley vs. Pacific Collegiate

The San Lorenzo Valley Cougars and the Pacific Collegiate Pumas will compete for holiday cheer at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. San Lorenzo Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, San Lorenzo Valley turned things around against St. Francis on Monday. They never let the Sharks onto the board and left with a 7-0 victory.

San Lorenzo Valley's offense was hitting St. Francis from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Naomi Sifton led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Pacific Collegiate narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Harbor 1-0.

San Lorenzo Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Pacific Collegiate, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
