Softball Recap: Northgate Beats Ola for Their Second Straight Win

Northgate came out on top against Ola on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Vikings never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Ella Coburn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Makenzie Khaler, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September. Another player making a difference was Kellie Nalin, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Northgate and bumps their season record up to 23-7. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for Ola, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-5.

As of now, neither Northgate nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
