Baseball Recap: Central Hawks vs. Kendrick Cherokees
Central took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They put the hurt on the Kendrick Cherokees with a sharp 16-6 victory.
For Kendrick's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Holsendolph, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Goolsby, who scored a run and stole three bases.
Kendrick are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Central will head out on the road to face off against Spencer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Central is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Kendrick, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-1 loss vs. Jordan on the 9th.
