Baseball Recap: Montgomery County Takes a Loss

Montgomery County lost against Atkinson County back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Montgomery County Eagles came up short against the Atkinson County Rebels, falling 17-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Montgomery County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric White, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Montgomery County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Atkinson County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Coming up, Montgomery County will be playing in front of their home fans against Hawkinsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hawkinsville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Atkinson County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Brooks County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Atkinson County is facing Brooks County at the right time seeing as Brooks County is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
