Smithville is 9-1 against Raytown South since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Smithville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Kearney on Monday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Raytown South lost 20-3 to Winnetonka on Tuesday.

Taylor Thresher made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Raytown South's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Smithville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything went Smithville's way against Raytown South in their previous meeting last Monday, as Smithville made off with a 17-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
