After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North County, Herculaneum was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Jefferson Blue Jays 5-4. For the Black Cats, this counts as revenge for the 13-3 win the Blue Jays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.
Grace Lenington was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Herculaneum's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Herculaneum will face off against Festus at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jefferson, they will challenge St. Clair at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
