Soccer Game Preview: Crossroads vs. Viewpoint

Crossroads hasn't had much luck against Viewpoint recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Crossroads Roadrunners are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will take on the Viewpoint Patriots at 12:00 p.m. Crossroads is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Crossroads turned things around against Bishop Conaty-Loretto back in December of 2024. They were the clear victor by a 14-1 margin over the Wildcats. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 10-1.

Crossroads' offense was hitting Bishop Conaty-Loretto from everywhere, as ten different players booted in a goal. Camila Amezaga led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Viewpoint hasn't lost a match since December 3, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. Neither they nor Birmingham could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Viewpoint has been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Viewpoint's draw gives them a new season record of 4-1-3. As for Crossroads, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.
