Casa Roble is 1-8 against El Camino since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Casa Roble Rams will challenge the El Camino Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Casa Roble will be strutting in after a win while El Camino will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Casa Roble turned things around against Woodland on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 50-49 photo finish over the Wolves.

Casa Roble's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Paisley Canady, who posted 20 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Canady is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Bailey Maloney was another key player, putting up eight points and 14 boards.
Meanwhile, El Camino played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Rio Linda and fell 66-35. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 759th, while the Knights are ranked 271st).
Despite the defeat, El Camino saw an underclassman step up: freshman Genesis Taylor had ten points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Calista Wold, who put up six points and ten rebounds.
Casa Roble's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-9. As for El Camino, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Casa Roble has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like El Camino struggles in that department as they've been averaging 38.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Casa Roble came up short against El Camino when the teams last played back in February of 2018, falling 48-40.
