Basketball Recap: Cumberland Valley Triumphs

Cumberland Valley won the last time they faced Chambersburg, and Sienna Manns did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cumberland Valley Eagles put the hurt on the Chambersburg Trojans with a sharp 50-30 win on Friday thanks in part to Manns, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Cumberland Valley's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sanai Hill, who posted six points along with seven boards and three steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Cumberland Valley now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Chambersburg, they dropped their record down to 3-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cumberland Valley has already played their next contest, a 46-33 victory against Parkland on the 18th. Chambersburg has also already played their next matchup (against Columbia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
