The Mifflin County Huskies will head out on the road to challenge the Milton Hershey Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mifflin County is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
Mifflin County suffered their closest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They fell just short of Palmyra by a score of 40-37. While losing is never fun, Mifflin County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 456th, while Palmyra is ranked 117th).
Milton Hershey posted their biggest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hershey 57-23 on the road. 57 seems to be a good number for Milton Hershey as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Mifflin County has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Milton Hershey, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-5.
Mifflin County was able to grind out a solid win over Milton Hershey in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 57-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mifflin County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
