Baseball Game Preview: Cody Comets vs. Communication Media Arts Pharaohs

The Cody Comets are taking a road trip to challenge the Communication Media Arts Pharaohs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Communication Media Arts took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Cody, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Cody earned an 11-6 victory over Ford. The Comets haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Tyrone Coats was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last six games. Tyler Sims also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Communication Media Arts suffered their closest defeat since April 17, 2025 on Wednesday. They fell just short of Southeastern by a score of 7-5.

Communication Media Arts' loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for Cody, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9-2.

Cody couldn't quite get it done against Communication Media Arts in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 12-7. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
