Softball Recap: Ashland-Greenwood Extends Winning Streak to Three

Ashland-Greenwood waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Wayne Blue Devils.

Sofia Dill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ellie Milburn was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Ava Egger was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Ashland-Greenwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Ashland-Greenwood's record is now 17-10. As for Wayne, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-11.
