Basketball Game Preview: Wisconsin Heights Vanguards vs. Cambridge Bluejays

Wisconsin Heights is 1-9 against Cambridge since February of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wisconsin Heights Vanguards are taking a road trip to square off against the Cambridge Bluejays at 7:30 p.m.

Wisconsin Heights is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 65 points on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Belleville on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Vanguards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 61st).

Meanwhile, Cambridge humbled Waterloo with an 89-22 victory. The Bluejays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 35 points or more this season.

Cambridge's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points over those games. As for Wisconsin Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 12-11.

Wisconsin Heights took a serious blow against Cambridge in their previous meeting back in January, falling 62-27. Can Wisconsin Heights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
