Softball Recap: Millard West Takes Down Ranked Lincoln Southwest

Millard West faced Lincoln Southwest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Silver Hawks, sneaking past 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Addison Burdorf spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Millard West's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Addie Abboud, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Millard West hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive games.

Millard West's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Lincoln Southwest, they moved to 19-2 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.
