Baseball Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

Montgomery County was the 12-2 winner over Claxton when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 6-1 to the Tigers on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jackson Gooden made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Montgomery County's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Claxton, the win snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 7-13 record.

As of now, neither Montgomery County nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
