Baseball Recap: East Jackson Falls Short of Franklin County in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact East Jackson can now relate to. They fell just short of the Franklin County Lions by a score of 4-3 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-2 defeat on April 3rd.

East Jackson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooks Saunders, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

East Jackson's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Franklin County, their victory bumped their record up to 21-8.

While East Jackson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
