Basketball Recap: Miyanna Ruffin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Barstow over Granite Hills

Barstow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 43-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Granite Hills Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-45 two weeks ago.

Several Aztecs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miyanna Ruffin, who posted eight points and three steals. Emily Franco was another key player, putting up nine points.

Barstow's record is now 6-14. As for Granite Hills, their win bumped their record up to 5-16.

As of now, neither Barstow nor Granite Hills have any future games scheduled.
