Soccer Game Preview: San Fernando vs. Kennedy

San Fernando is 2-8 against Kennedy since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the San Fernando challenge the Kennedy at 4:30 p.m.

San Fernando is headed into Wednesday's following a draw, the team's first since December 9. They and Canoga Park finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Monday.

Meanwhile, Kennedy had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.1 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They never let the Pythons onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Give the Cougars' defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Kennedy pushed their record up to 14-3-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven games. With that draw, San Fernando's record moves to 11-7-2.
