Baseball Recap: Alcovy Takes a Loss

Alcovy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-3 to the Apalachee Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-3 loss last Monday.

Alcovy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Apalachee, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Alcovy Tigers challenge Jackson County Panthers at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. Jackson County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season. As for Apalachee, they will square off against Clarke Central at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Apalachee's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Clarke Central has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
