Soccer Game Preview: Fowler vs. Yosemite

The Fowler Redcats will head out on the road to square off against the Yosemite Badgers at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fowler has three straight wins, Yosemite has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Fowler's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Minarets as Fowler made off with a 4-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Redcats, who have now won six matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Yosemite lost 6-1 to Fresno Christian on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 740th, while the Eagles are ranked 294th).

Yosemite's goal came courtesy of Daisy Camacho, who's now up to two this season.

Yosemite's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Fowler, the win got them back to even at 7-7-1.

Fowler might still be hurting after the 5-2 loss they got from Yosemite in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Fowler avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
