Football Recap: Worthington Comes Up Short

Worthington extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were beaten by the Albert Lea Tigers 42-0. The Trojans lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 33-13 score last time.

As for Albert Lea, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average this season.

Brecken Wacholz was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 182 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes, and also rushed for 87 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries.

Looking ahead, Worthington will venture away from home to face off against New Ulm at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Albert Lea, they will host Fairmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
