Football Recap: Spanish Fork Comes Up Short at Home Against Snow Canyon

Spanish Fork unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 35-10 to the Snow Canyon Warriors on Friday.

Hawkin Rasmussen threw for 66 yards on only six passes. Gage Christensen was his top target, picking up 54 receiving yards. On the ground, Jordan Bunnell rushed for 40 yards and one TD.

Parker Olson was a one-man wrecking crew For Snow Canyon. as he threw for 159 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 77 yards and one score. Their leading receiver Issaiah Thompson was Olson's top target yet again, picking up 41 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Coming up, Spanish Fork will head out on the road to challenge Salem Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Snow Canyon, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Shadow Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
