Recap: Campbell Hall Vikings vs. Los Angeles CES Unicorns

The Campbell Hall Vikings waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Los Angeles CES 68-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Campbell Hall has posted since December 6, 2023.

Campbell Hall got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cristina Sepulveda out in front who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. Zion Belcher-Arill was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Los Angeles CES's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sincere Aubrey, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aubrey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Chiba, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

Campbell Hall's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-14. As for Los Angeles CES, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbell Hall will face off against St. Mary's Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Mary's Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Campbell Hall in California (St. Mary's Academy is ranked 78th, while Campbell Hall is ranked 425th). As for Los Angeles CES, they will head out on the road to square off against Fairfax at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairfax is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
