Trenquarius Strozier leads a balanced attack to beat Franklin County

Recap: Chiles Timberwolves vs. Franklin County Seahawks

The Chiles Timberwolves waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 59-40 win over Franklin County. That's another feather in the cap for Chiles, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Chiles' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trenquarius Strozier led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Strozier is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Bundrage, who scored 20 points along with two steals.

Several Seahawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braelin Morris, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morris has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sadiq Jones, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.

Chiles is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Franklin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chiles will challenge Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin County, Franklin County and Chipley will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
