Recap: Port Allegany Gators vs. Otto-Eldred Terrors
The Port Allegany Gators posted their closest victory yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Otto-Eldred and snuck past 42-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Port Allegany also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Port Allegany was led to victory by Kayleigha Dowell and Ella Moses. Dowell scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Moses scored 16 points along with five steals and two blocks. Moses has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Peyton Gordon, who scored six points.
Port Allegany's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Otto-Eldred, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Port Allegany will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Coudersport at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Otto-Eldred, they will square off against Northern Potter at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
