It was a good run, but Escondido Adventist Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a blow against the Tri-City Christian Eagles, falling 60-32. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hawks have suffered since December 28, 2024.

Leading Tri-City Christian to victory were Katie Busch and Talia Anthony. Busch dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds, while Anthony went 9 of 16 en route to 20 points along with six assists and six steals. With that strong performance, Anthony is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Giselle Murray, who posted eight points in addition to 11 boards and three blocks.

Escondido Adventist Academy's loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-7. As for Tri-City Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Escondido Adventist Academy will face off against Foothills Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Foothills Christian's defense has only allowed 27.3 points per game this season, so Escondido Adventist Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Tri-City Christian, they will welcome Southwest SD at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-City Christian is on a five-game streak of home wins, Southwest SD a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
