Soccer Game Preview: Sonoraville vs. Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe

The Sonoraville Phoenix will square off against the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe is facing Sonoraville at the wrong time: Sonoraville suffered their first home loss of the season on Saturday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Phoenix couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe fought the good fight in their overtime game against Coahulla Creek on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts.

Sonoraville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.
