Football Recap: Jacinya Garner's Menacing Defense Leads West Orange over Livingston

West Orange got themselves on the board against Livingston on Friday, but Livingston never followed suit. They snuck past the Lancers with a 6-0 win. The Mountaineers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lancers, too.

One reason for the win was West Orange's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Jacinya Garner was especially locked on to Livingston's QB and sacked her three times.

West Orange has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 points this season. As for Livingston, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, West Orange will host DePaul Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Livingston, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Clifton at 6:30 p.m. on May 2.
