Football Recap: Aztec Comes Up Short

Aztec was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 65-0 loss at the hands of the Bloomfield Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico football rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Bobcats are ranked 16th).

Aztec's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Bloomfield, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Aztec is set to take on their familiar foe Grants at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bloomfield will square off against rival Taos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
