Volleyball Recap: North Cobb Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

North Cobb not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Cherokee. This was payback for North Cobb, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

North Cobb not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Cherokee to exactly 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

North Cobb can attribute much of their success to Avery Williams, who had 14 assists and five digs. That's the most digs Williams has posted over her last six matches.

North Cobb pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Cherokee, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

North Cobb will take on North Cobb Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherokee, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Paulding at 6:30 p.m. on September 9.
