Softball Recap: Seckinger Falls Short of Effingham County in the Playoffs

Seckinger and Effingham County squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Seckinger had to settle for second. They fell 6-3 to the Rebels. The Jaguars' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Seckinger saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Megan Whitt, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Seckinger's loss dropped their record down to 19-10. As for Effingham County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Seckinger nor Effingham County have any future games scheduled.
