Soccer Recap: Mayfair Comes Up Short

Mayfair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fullerton Indians. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Monsoons couldn't quite close it out.

Mayfair's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Fullerton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.

Mayfair didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Katella on the 27th. As for Fullerton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Pasadena on the 27th.
