Softball Recap: Pocahontas' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Pocahontas had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Emmetsburg E'Hawks. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won ten matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Pocahontas pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Emmetsburg, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-18.

Pocahontas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against North Union on the 28th. As for Emmetsburg, they have also already played their next game, an 11-3 loss against Alta-Aurelia on the 30th.
