Baseball Recap: Brookfield Gets the Win

While Brookfield's win against Kolbe-Cathedral wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Cougars 4-3 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bobcats have posted since June 3, 2025.

Rocco D'Arcangelo was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April. Andrew Pires was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

The win got Brookfield back to even at 9-9. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Brookfield will face off against Masuk at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Kolbe-Cathedral does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
