Softball Recap: Lincoln Northeast Takes a Loss

Lincoln Northeast couldn't beat Westview on Wednesday even though they stacked six runs on them in the third inning. The Rockets fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 12-11. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lily McPike made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Dezi Swenson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Lincoln Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 11-22. As for Westview, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9.

Lincoln Northeast has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against Columbus on the 8th. Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
