Softball Recap: Claxton Comes Up Short

Claxton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Metter. That's two games in a row now that Claxton has lost by exactly four runs.

Claxton's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Metter, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Claxton will take on Bryan County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Redskins have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Metter, they will welcome Toombs County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
