Softball Game Preview: Seckinger Jaguars vs. Wesleyan Wolves

The Seckinger Jaguars will square off against the Wesleyan Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wesleyan will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Seckinger extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Jaguars' pitcher stepped up to hand Gainesville a 15-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Jaguars considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Sadie Melanson looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Wesleyan came out on top against Mount Vernon on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Wolves blew past the Mustangs 9-1. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Wesleyan's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Seckinger, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
