Softball Recap: St. Francis Find Success + How To Watch

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but St. Francis ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Milton Eagles 9-7. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ramsay Striggles 2028 made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched eight innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off 11 hits. Striggles 2028 was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Ansley Rabern 2028 was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Olivia Bocchicchio 2027 was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

St. Francis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

St. Francis is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Milton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.

Looking ahead, St. Francis will face off against Hebron Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Knights' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Milton, they will square off against Johns Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
