Baseball Recap: Fayette County Tigers vs. Mary Persons Bulldogs
Fayette County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They came up short against the Mary Persons Bulldogs, falling 7-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 on Saturday.
Fayette County got a good showing from Dominic Little, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Fayette County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Montaevious Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Fayette County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Mary Persons, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-13.
Fayette County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sandy Creek at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Mary Persons, they will venture away from home to challenge Crawford County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
